September 2001 - Square Chapel.

After a year of performances we were invited back to the Square Chapel Arts Centre at Halifax. They had another excellent Open Day and Samara performed their latest Melaya dance for the first time. (A melaya is a large black cloth used by the ladies of Alexandria to keep of the dust, and to preserve their modesty) It went down well.

Audience comments ...

(referring to the join-in session at the end) "It was just like a film with everybody getting up and joining in!"
